The journal aims to examine food and eating not merely as a biological activity of nourishment, but holistically, considering their historical origins, legal and economic dynamics, cultural traces, political contexts, and social reflections throughout the process from farm to table. In this regard, <em>Gusteme<\/em> aims to encourage interdisciplinary and comparative scientific discussions that position food as an object of research and to make a qualified contribution to food studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Gusteme<\/em> welcomes studies that examine the reflections of topics such as culinary culture, food policies, gender and food, migration and cuisine, food inequalities, food rights and legislation, and agriculture and supply chains on everyday life practices, social relations, legal frameworks, and economic processes. The journal encourages research examining the impact of food on cultural productions, gastronomic media, digital communication, tourism marketing and nation branding, and gastrodiplomacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It features theoretical, empirical, or methodological studies that take a comparative and interdisciplinary approach to examining culinary heritage and food experiences in different societies and cultures, drawing on fields such as sociology, anthropology, communication, economics, political science, law, history, public relations, gastronomic tourism, and cultural studies. Interdisciplinary approaches from basic and natural sciences (food engineering, nutrition, medicine, agriculture, etc.) are also within the scope of the journal, provided that a strong link with the social sciences is established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Gusteme<\/em> publishes original research articles, review articles, case studies, conceptual discussion papers, and book reviews.
